Vivo Apex 2019 Design and Display
Under this department, the Apex 2019 stands out amongst every other devices in the smartphone market in the aspect of design and display. For instance, the device does not feature any holes around the body except the microphone space.
The Vivo Apex 2019 has a ” Super Unibody” curved glass body which permits the smartphone to turn to a speaker. This function is possible via Body Sound Casting technology and the vibrations of the glass.
This smartphone does not include a front-facing camera for selfies. But Vivo might launch a variant with a pop-up camera at MWC 2019. The device boasts of an all view display with a small chin and no bezels on all it sides. The Apex 2019 does not have buttons any part of the device thus it uses touch and pressures sensitive buttons.
At the back of the phone lies dual camera sensors placed in a horizontal arrangement. Unlike most devices, the fingerprint sensor will not be on the rear panel on this device. Instead, vivo offers a scanner that covers the full 6.39 AMOLED display which will enable the security features on various apps.
As at the time of press, there are no confirmed details about the colour options available. However, we have seen images of Apex 2019 phones with white panels on Mobile.com’s YouTube channel.
Vivo Apex 2019 Camera
The Vivo Apex 2019 includes a dual camera assembly at its back. This setup consists of a 12MP camera and a13MP secondary sensor. As we have stated earlier, the device does not have a selfie snapper.
However, since it runs on the latest Snapdragon 855, there’s a possibility that the device will support 4K recording and even shoot HDR videos at 60fps.
Vivo Apex 2019 Software and Hardware
The Apex 2019 will runs on Android 9 Pie and is powered by Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 855 which clocks at 2.84GHz. The mobile processor will work with an Adreno 640 GPU to help the device with various tasks.
To meet the demands of heavy use, Vivo has included Liquid Cooling tech to the smartphone. This technology manages the temperature and ensures a continuous level of efficiency while running high-resolution gaming and graphics.
The vivo APEX 2019 is configured with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, a massive 12GB RAM and a more considerable 512GB worth of internal storage.
There are no buttons on this APEX phone, so it uses the Always-On Display to mark where the touch-sensitive side “buttons” are. Only the Power key has a little nub so you can feel it without looking, but it’s not an actual button (just like on the HTC U12+).
However, the charging/data cable snaps on magnetically onto the pogo pins on the back, which seems pretty quick once you get used to it. But you do need to carry a proprietary adapter with you.
The vivo APEX 2019 has almost everything, the one thing that’s missing is the selfie camera.
Vivo Apex 2019 Full Display Fingerprint Reader
Most impressive, however, is the in-display fingerprint reader that covers essentially the whole display. The setup starts at 1:30 and ends just seconds later, as it only needs a couple of taps to learn a fingerprint. And then it works quickly and at any orientation.
